Students from Muscle Shoals, Bob Jones, Winston County, Jacksonville, Hewitt-Trussville and B.C. Raines high schools participated in a live video conference through a ACCESS computer lab with the Southern rock group, Uglistick, as it recorded a track at Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals.
As the band spent the hour in studio A on Wednesday, students were watching a split screen with the band on one side and engineer Tom Swift and Fame General Manager Rodney Hall in the booth on the other side. The two men were explaining the recording process, from how to determine the amount of reverb to apply, to hitting the right balance between vocals and instruments.
